Ecuadorian guitarist and composer Edu Mora has been actively involved in the Ecuadorian music scene over the last 8 years, covering genres from Latin and Caribbean music to Jazz and Rock, and including notable collaborations with Ecuadorian groups La Piñata, La Matilda, Papa Changó, Valentina López, and the IMC Big Band.
Born in Quito, the capital city of Ecuador, Edgar has been playing guitar since he was 15 years old. He earned two Bachelor of Art degrees at Universidad San Francisco de Quito College of Music in both Contemporary Music Performance and Music Production and Engineering.
Edu has studied with such jazz luminaries as John Scofield, Gilad Hekselman, Jonathan Kreisberg, Lage Lund, Antonio Sánchez, Ari Hoenig, Jean-Michel Pilc,Gil Goldstein, and Jamey Aebersold.
In 2016, Edu earned a Master of Music in Jazz Performance at prestigious Steinhardt School of New York University.
